Open for Curbside Pickup
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2-6pm
Beginning May 26

While the library building remains closed to the public, we will begin offering curbside pickup on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00pm - 6:00pm. This service begins on Tuesday, May 26.

To request materials (books, DVDs, audiobooks, magazines, etc.) for curbside pickup, please use our online catalog OR send us an email at OR call us at 859-824-2080.

After you place your request, we will locate your items and then contact you with pickup instructions. When you come to the library to pick up your items, please bring your library card and a picture ID. Call us when you arrive, and we will bring your items out to your car.

We are now accepting returned items. Feel free to return items to the book drop in front of the library, or at either of the two Library Express locations (Crittenden and Corinth). There is no rush, however, as fines are still suspended at this time.

Library Express delivery begins on May 26.

Summer Reading
June 1 - July 31

This year, we're offering you an online Summer Reading program along with weekly themed craft bags that you can request and pick up during our curbside pickup hours. Here's what you'll need to do:

First, register for Summer Reading with Beanstack here.

Creating a Beanstack account gives you and your family online access to reading logs, prize opportunities, and the craft bags. Families can register with a single account, so adults, teens, and kids can all use the same login information.

Log your reading hours just like you have in previous years. Kids earn a book prize for every 3 hours they read. Teens and adults earn a book prize for every 5 hours they read.

Once you're registered, you can come to the library to pick up your craft bags during curbside pickup hours (currently Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-6 pm). You'll only need to come once a week to pick up a new craft bag. Once you've picked up a craft bag and completed the craft and activities inside you can log back into Beanstack and earn a badge for completing the project.

Finally, we will also be hosting a daily virtual program throughout the summer. In order to gain access, you will need to join the GCPL Summer Reading Virtual Programming group on Facebook.
